Dedicated to the “Glorious Red Army,” this spirited film animates some of the most famous songs from the Civil War period like “Tachanka,” Meadowlands” (Polushka Pole), and “White Army, Black Baron” (Krasnaya Armia-Chornyi Baron). The music was recorded by the Alexandrov rchestra and the State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography (conducted by E. Khachaturyan).
算是苏联动画视觉音乐的代表吧。少量刺眼颜色，大色块概括使用，黄色滤镜下的实拍录像，人物形象剪影化非常概括。动画动作不多，重复使用组合起来构成的形式感却很好，中间还有一段绿色调的女声画面表现。
